On October 20, the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology released the list of the seventh batch of specialized and sophisticated SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises). Fifty enterprises from Yancheng made the list, marking a new milestone in the city’s advancement in cultivating high-quality SMEs.
With this new addition, Yancheng now has a total of 146 national-level “Little Giant” enterprises, surpassing the 100 mark for the first time — a 2.4-fold increase compared with 2023. This achievement signifies a major breakthrough in the city’s efforts to foster outstanding and innovative SMEs.
Data show that Yancheng’s cultivation of specialized and sophisticated SMEs has entered a stage of both quantitative and qualitative growth. The total number of “Little Giant” enterprises now ranks seventh in Jiangsu Province, with the city maintaining a steady upward trend for three consecutive years.
Notably, with three enterprises from Yannan High-tech and Industrial Development Zone included in this round, all counties, county-level cities, and districts in Yancheng are now home to national-level “Little Giant” enterprises — establishing a comprehensive and coordinated development landscape across the entire city.
