The Ministry of Ecology and Environment recently released the list of excellent cases and recognized bays of the 4th batch of "Beautiful Bays". Two bays, namely the Xiangshui Section and the Binhai Section, have been awarded the title of "Beautiful Bay", adding new highlights to the construction of marine ecological civilization in Yancheng.

Up to now, Yancheng has built a total of 4 Beautiful Bays, namely Chuandong Port, Tiaozini, Xiangshui Section, and Binhai Section, among which Chuandong Port and Tiaozini were previously selected as national excellent cases of Beautiful Bays.

In recent years, Yancheng has adhered to the "One Bay, One Policy" precision governance approach, promoted the comprehensive improvement of coastal marine pollution prevention and control, ecological protection and restoration, and shoreline environment in a systematic way, continuously improved the ecological quality of the bays, and strived to build "Beautiful Bays" featuring clear water, clean beaches, gathering fish and gulls, and harmonious coexistence between humans and the ocean. The addition of these two national-level "Beautiful Bays" fully demonstrates Yancheng's solid achievements in marine ecological protection and sustainable management.

The national selection of "Beautiful Bays" aims to set models and strengthen demonstration effects, promoting marine ecological protection from "point-based breakthroughs" to "comprehensive improvement". The successful practices of multiple bays in Yancheng provide replicable and promotable experiences for national bay ecological governance and restoration, and will also help Yancheng further build a coastal ecological corridor featuring overall beauty and green development.
