On 7 February, Zhou Bin, Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee, and Yan Hanping, Mayor of Yancheng, visited Changzhou and held a working meeting with Wang Jianfeng, Party Secretary of the CPC Changzhou Municipal Committee, and Zhou Wei, Mayor of Changzhou, to jointly advance the high-quality development of the Changzhou-Yancheng Industrial Park.

In the meeting, Zhou Bin expressed the hope that the two sides would deepen paired cooperation, strengthen industrial coordination and interaction, refine and strengthen the Changzhou-Yancheng Industrial Park, and jointly build a new engine for high-quality development. Both cities should further promote collaboration in technological innovation, enhance exchanges and cooperation between universities, research institutes, enterprises and talents, jointly tackle key core technologies, and advance the development of the North-South Cooperation Technology Transfer Demonstration Base. This will help achieve more cross-city commercialization of scientific and technological achievements and more cross-city enterprise cooperation, so as to jointly foster new drivers of new-quality productive forces.

Wang Jianfeng stated that this year marks the start of the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Changzhou will take the co-construction of industrial parks as a key measure, go all out to promote coordinated industrial development, and continuously deepen regional cooperation. It will make positive contributions to the province’s development of the “1+3” key functional zones and the establishment of an economic layout featuring complementary advantages and high-quality development between northern and southern Jiangsu.
