On the morning of July 1, the grand ceremony celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) was held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People’s Republic of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, conferred the July 1 Medal on its recipients and delivered an important speech. Party Secretary Zhou Bin, Mayor Yan Hanping, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress Wang Rong, Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC Yang Weida, Deputy Party Secretary Wu Wei, and other municipal leaders watched the live broadcast of the ceremony together.
The ceremony kicked off at 10 o’clock sharp. In the conference room on the 8th floor of the Municipal Administrative Center, municipal leaders watched the live broadcast with full concentration and listened carefully to General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speech. They jointly reviewed the glorious journey of the CPC over the past 105 years and envisioned the bright prospects for the cause of the Party and the people.
