From June 28 to 29, the 2026 Training Program for Audit Officials of ASEAN Countries held on-site investigations, seminars and a closing ceremony in Yancheng. The Department of International Cooperation of the National Audit Office of China and Yancheng Municipal Audit Bureau jointly awarded completion certificates to 35 audit representatives from ASEAN member states. During the event, drawing on the unique ecological endowment of the Yellow Sea Wetlands Natural World Heritage site and its innovative practices as a pilot city for the dual carbon goals, Yancheng shared its “Yancheng Experiences” in resource and environmental auditing with audit counterparts from ASEAN countries.

From the shores of the Yellow Sea to ASEAN nations, migratory birds traverse the boundaries of the ecological community and link the shared vision of regional sustainable development. In Yancheng, auditing serves not only as supervision over financial accounts, but also as a guardian force in the drive for green transition. The evolving dual-carbon audit tracks not only the flow of funds, but also charts a viable path for Yancheng toward a green future.
