    Yancheng is located in the coast of the Yellow Sea. It is an ancient city with glorious history. It’s a new developing industrial commercial city as well. In 1988, approved by the State Council, Yancheng became one of the coastal cities open to the outside world in China. In recent years, Yancheng’s economic construction and social undertakings develop rapidly, new progresses on reform and opening-up has been made continuously. The appearance of the city and countryside has changed profoundly. The whole city has already reached a relatively comfortable life. Yancheng not only has advantages of unique natural resources and economic resources such as farm and sideline products, ocean, tidal land, natural gas, tourism, land and labor force, but also has huge market potentials and vast cooperation areas. The steps of industrialization are ever accelerating. An industrial structure with clear characteristics covering extensive fields such as textile, machinery, chemical industry, light industry, electronic and food-stuff, has already been taken shape. A group of large scale business conglomerate and floatable companies emerge prominently. The investment environment in Yancheng optimizes gradually. The 204 national highway crosses the whole city. It takes only 3 hours to drive to Shanghai and Nanjing with the opening to traffic of Ning-Jin-Yan, Yantong and Yanhuai expressways. A tridimensional communication network which takes road, railway, airport and port as the backbones has already been taken shape. The infrastructures such as roads, planting, post and telecommunications, power supply and water supply which are perfectly assorted, have complete functions. Our city’s policies on investment attraction and business encouragement are very preferential. The services of Yancheng Municipal Administrative Approval Service Center are standard, highly efficient, convenient and fast. It provides good conditions for lots of investors in our city. We are now transforming government functions, handling affairs according to international practice strictly, to build Yancheng into a hot land of investment with highly open markets, transparent policies, payback of investment, honest government and safety of lives and property. We are also speeding up to realize the magnificent target of ‘strive for a relatively comfortable life in an all-round way, construct a whole new Yancheng’.
