Reconstruction of T1 in Yancheng Nanyang International Airport Starts

On the morning of October 11, reconstruction of T1 in Yancheng Nanyang International Airport started. Zhou Bin, Deputy Party Secretary and Acting Mayor, Zhou Chengyi, GM of Eastern Airports and Wang Zhujun, Deputy Director-General of Jiangsu Provincial Transportation Department attended and jointly launched the project.

As a huge part of comprehensive transportation system, airports are  significant hubs of deepening mutual opening-up and windows to showcase a city. During recent years, Yancheng has vigorously carried out building China's strength in transportation, systematically planned aviation network and made progress in aviation industry. Currently, this airport has opened 45 airlines to 36 destinations, leading to the province in all-freight airline to ROK and Japan and substantially supporting peoples trips and citys development and significant serving the new development pattern of dual circulation. Once finished, the new T1 could receive 340,000 travelers by 2030 and 272 person/hour at peak hours. The total area would cover 13,850 m2, only for international travelers, meeting the rapid grow of traveler throughput capacity with a synergy effect of T2.
