On the morning of December 12, the Yaoning lithium-ion battery and system assembly project with an annual output of 12GWh started construction in Jianhu County, with a planned total investment of 10.23 billion yuan. Xu Ying, Secretary of Yancheng Municipal Party Committee, attended and announced the start of construction. Zhou Bin, Deputy Secretary and Mayor, met with Wang Zhaoxing, Vice President of Geely Holding Group, and Zheng Xin, President of Yaoning Technology Group and President of Jiangsu Yaoning New Energy Company.

This project was born out of Geely Automobile Group and has a close cooperative relationship with Geely Holding Group. It adopts the operation model of building "three bases" of manufacturing bases, innovation bases, and listed headquarters bases. It is the first project in Jianhu County to invest more than 10 billion yuan, and it is also the only project in the county that a single enterprise has a closed-loop industrial chain from mineral raw materials to battery recycling.
