On November 28, the opening ceremony of international direct ro-ro shipping lane from Binhai Port of Yancheng Port to Port of Durban in South Africa was held successfully. Vice-mayor of Yancheng Gao Shangde attended and addressed.

With the opening of this lane, Yancheng Port international logistics comprehensive supporting capability and overall competitiveness can be upgraded while it can serve as a more energetic engine for boosting citywide economic development, building a regional logistics hub in north wing of Yangtze River Delta and gate of Huaihe River Ecological Economic Belt and promoting greater opening-up and high quality development in Yellow Sea New Area. While addressing, Gao Shangde said Yancheng Port Group and concerning departments should take this as an opportunity, promote service awareness, set up “green channel” and upgrade their level then make greater contributions to elevating high quality development in Yellow Sea New Area and Yancheng’s export-oriented economy.
