On the afternoon of February 24, members attending the 1st session of the 9th CPPCC Yancheng Municipal Committee deliberated on the government work report and the work reports of Yancheng Intermediate People’s Court and Yancheng People’s Procuratorate in groups.

In each group’s deliberation, the members offered their perspectives, put forward proposals and suggestions for the future development on the basis of their expertise, and thus consensuses were built and the strength were pooled. It was agreed that the government work report concluded the past five years’ achievements in an objective light, drafted a clear blueprint for future development and highlighted the main focuses of this year, reflecting the government’s efforts to implement Xi Jingping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era. The work report thus deserved credit, which was practical, full of innovative ideas and inspiring. Through the report, it can be seen that the comprehensive strength of the city has reached a higher level, the reform and opening up has maintained a sound momentum, new achievements have been made in ecological conservation, new breakthroughs have been made in urban and rural construction, people’s livelihood has been greatly enhanced, and governance of the city has been improved. The achievements in Yancheng’s economic and social development have increased the confidence and motivation of the committee members.
