On the morning of May 8th, Zhou Bin, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, conducted a special study on high-quality coastal development, emphasizing the need to deeply study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Xi Jinping’s important speech, fully and accurately implement the new development concept, firmly grasp the primary task of high-quality development, comprehensively implement the major task of “four ahead”, seize national strategic opportunities such as the Jiangsu coastal development, firmly grasp the development direction, familiarize with one's own advantages, fully tap into potential, focus on ecological beauty and high-quality industries, comprehensively create a “ecological hundred mile” characteristic business card, and fully demonstrate the ecological charm and development vitality of “international wetland, and coastal green city”.

Zhou Bin emphasized that ecology is the most precious asset of Yancheng and the biggest characteristic of its high-quality development. To shoulder the “ecological hundred mile” building mission assigned by the provincial Party committee and government to Yancheng, and anchor the positioning of the global wetland ecological “most beautiful coastline”; we should polish the gold lettered signboards of “World Natural Heritage” and “Wetland City” to create a ecological, international and world-class tourist destination; we need to prepare for the Global Coastal Forum and showcase to the world the “Chinese sample” of biodiversity conservation and the new practice of modern Yancheng with harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
