Recently, Trina Solar’s Yancheng Dafeng Base successfully passed TüV Rheinland’s audits for both “Zero Waste” and “Zero Carbon” certifications, becoming the first photovoltaic company in China to achieve TüV Rheinland’s “Double Zero” certification.

In recent years, the Yancheng Dafeng Base of Trina Solar has assembled a professional management team, formulated an implementation plan, and established a comprehensive energy and waste management system to promote waste reduction and carbon reduction. In June 2024, TüV Rheinland conducted a thorough assessment and audit of the base’s waste management system and zero-carbon operations. In terms of waste management, the base achieved a landfill diversion rate of 99.58%, earning a three-star “Zero Waste” certification, the highest level. In terms of carbon reduction, the base met the requirements for the three-star certification of a “Zero Carbon” factory (Type I) based on outstanding performance and significant emission reduction results, receiving the 2023 “Zero Carbon” factory certification.

As a leading company in the crystalline silicon photovoltaic industry, Trina Solar’s Yancheng Dafeng Base aligns with the green and low-carbon development trend and is highly conscious of the environmental impact of its operations, continuously improving its level of green development. This achievement of the “Double Zero” certification demonstrates the company’s ongoing breakthroughs in zero-carbon operations.
