10th China-Germany Agricultural Week Opens in Yancheng

On the morning of October 21, the 10th China-Germany Agricultural Week officially opened in Yancheng. Attendees included Li Jinghui, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Xia Xinmin, Deputy Governor of Jiangsu Province; Sylvia Bender, State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture; PatriciaFlor, German Ambassador to China; Ji Hui, Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Liu Jian, Deputy Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Government; Shen Qirong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; and Wu Wei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee. The opening ceremony was chaired by Sui Pengfei, Director-General of the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

China-Germany Agricultural Week is a signature initiative in agricultural collaboration between the two nations. This year’s theme, “Ten Years of China-Germany Agricultural Cooperation for a Sustainable Future,” features a variety of events, including an opening ceremony, technical training sessions, and field visits. Experts, scholars, industry associations, and entrepreneurs will participate in in-depth, multifaceted discussions centered on sustainable agricultural development.
