On the afternoon of September 28, the Sixth Session of the Ninth People’s Congress of Yancheng City opened. Zhou Bin, Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee, Yan Hanping, Deputy Party Secretary of the CPC Yancheng Municipal Committee and Acting Mayor, attended the session, and Wang Rong, Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, presided over the session. The Yancheng People’s Hall was filled with a solemn and warm atmosphere. The slogan hanging in the venue -“Adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and strive to advance the new practice of Chinese-style modernization in Yancheng!”- was inspiring and motivating. Deputies to the People’s Congress from all walks of life, shouldering the trust and expectations of the people of the whole city, gathered together in high spirits, performed their sacred duties entrusted by the Constitution and rules in accordance with the law, discussed development plans together, and worked out a new chapter for progress.
