On September 22, the recommended works of the second batch of the National Radio and Television Administration’s 2026 “Micro Short Drama+” Action Plan were officially released during the “Audiovisual Yangtze River” Communication Week of the 2026 Yangtze River Culture and Art Season.

The recommended works released this time cover 7 categories: “Travel Along with Micro Short Dramas,” “Learn the Law Along with Micro Short Dramas,” “Popularize Science Along with Micro Short Dramas,” “Study Classics Along with Micro Short Dramas,” “Intangible Cultural Heritage in Micro Short Dramas,” “Get Moving Along with Micro Short Dramas,” and “Brands in Micro Short Dramas.” Two premium short dramas produced by Yancheng, Love When the Wind Rises and Swallows Dance (Ai Zai Fengqi Yanyu Shi) and Recognizing Returnees in Yancheng’s Street Bustle (Yan Jie Yanhuo Shi Guiren), were respectively selected in the categories of “Brands in Micro Short Dramas” and “Travel Along with Micro Short Dramas.”

Going forward, Yancheng will closely follow the National Radio and Television Administration’s policy orientation of supporting live-action micro short dramas, seize the window period of the premium-transformation of the micro short drama industry, and, leveraging its resource advantages of “One City, A Thousand Faces & A Natural Film Studio,” continue to strengthen its “NICE Yancheng: City of Short Dramas” brand. The city will focus on producing a batch of premium live-action short dramas that incorporate elements of Yancheng’s ecology, culture, and urban memory, driving the micro short drama industry toward higher quality, greater efficiency, and distinctive development.
