On May 20, the Jiangsu–ROK Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Meeting was held in Yancheng. Governor Liu Xiaotao delivered a video address while Yeo Han-koo, the Trade Minister (Head of Trade Negotiations) at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and ROK Ambassador to China Noh Jae-heon delivered speeches respectively. Xia Xinmin, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress, attended the event and Zhao Yan, Vice Governor of Jiangsu Province, met with ROK guests.

Focusing on the theme “Sharing New Opportunities, Forging Ahead Together into the Future”, the event featured special promotions and the signing of 27 key cooperation projects covering new energy, next-generation information technology and industrial ecology, fully demonstrating the distinct orientation of green and low-carbon development and the development context of new quality productive forces.

More than 300 participants, including officials from relevant government departments of the Republic of Korea and Jiangsu Province, representatives of business associations and entrepreneurs, attended the event.
